So, when I take notes on whiteboards during lessons these days, I always try to take a few extra moments to organize thinking clearly and include a character or two from my growing visual bank. Students love it! I honestly believe that learners are more engaged with learning and learning transfers better when students have fun watching you capture shared thinking. I have also got in the routine of polishing up anchor charts that we want to last.
